آقای احمدی نژاد پیش از آنکه تهران را به مقصد رم ترک کند مواضع شدیدی علیه اسرائیل از جمله نابودی قریب الوقوع این کشور مطرح و اعلام کرده بود که در حاشیه نشست فائو، دیدارهایی با برخی سران دولت های شرکت کننده در نشست خواهد داشت.
